What is a V62 Form?

Step-by-Step Guide to Filling Out the V62 Form

Section 1: Your Details

In this section, you need to provide your personal information as the vehicle keeper. This includes your title, full name, current address, and contact details. Make sure your address is completely accurate, as this is where the DVLA will mail your new V5C.

Section 2: Vehicle Details

This is the most critical part of the form. The DVLA requires precise information to identify the vehicle. You will need to provide:

Vehicle Registration Number: The UK license plate number (e.g., AB12 CDE).

Make and Model: The manufacturer and specific model of the vehicle.

VIN / Chassis Number: The full 17-digit Vehicle Identification Number (or shorter chassis number for classic cars).

How Much Does it Cost?

The current fee for a replacement V5C using a V62 form is £25. You must include a cheque or postal order made payable to 'DVLA, Swansea'.
